The short version
Be someone a stranger would be glad to have been matched with. Do not expose yourself, do not harass, do not sell, do not scam, and do not use this service if you are under 18. Everything below is detail on those five points.
These guidelines apply everywhere on Unimegle — video, chat messages, display names and profile images alike — and they apply whether or not you are signed in.
Age requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to use Unimegle, or older where the law that applies to you sets a higher minimum. Accounts belonging to people under that age are removed when found, and we do not restore them.
Any exploitative content involving a minor, or any attempt to solicit a minor, results in immediate permanent removal and is reported to the relevant authorities. There is no warning and no second chance for this category.
What is not allowed
On camera
- Indecent exposure, explicit acts, or exposing genitals — including as a "joke" to a stranger who did not ask
- Violence, self-harm, gore, cruelty to animals, or content designed to shock
- Weapons displayed to intimidate, and any threat of harm
- Drug use, and the sale of drugs, weapons or other illegal goods
- Broadcasting someone who has not agreed to be on camera
- Pre-recorded video, loops or deepfakes presented as a live person
In how you treat people
- Harassment, threats, stalking, or continuing contact after being asked to stop
- Hate speech or attacks based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, gender or orientation
- Sharing someone else's personal information without their consent
- Recording or screenshotting another person in order to embarrass, expose or blackmail them
In what you are doing here
- Fraud of any kind, including romance scams, fake emergencies and investment pitches
- Asking strangers for money, gift cards, crypto or payment-app transfers
- Advertising, promoting other services, or driving traffic to another platform
- Impersonating another person, a company, or a member of our staff
- Bots, automation, scripted matching, or evading a block or a ban
What happens when a rule is broken
Reports are reviewed and the response is scaled to what is found. The categories are not equivalent, and we do not pretend they are:

Purchases and balances are not refunded when an account is removed for breaking these rules. That is set out in the Terms of Service.
Reporting, and getting it wrong
Report from inside the conversation where possible — it carries the context with it. If you have already left, report anyway and describe what happened; roughly when it was and what was said or shown is enough to act on. The safety centre covers what to do immediately after a bad conversation.
False reports made to punish someone for skipping you, or to remove a competitor, are themselves a breach. Reporting in good faith is never held against you, even if the review finds no rule was broken.
If you believe your account was restricted in error, write to us through support with the account details and what you think happened, and it will be looked at again.
Changes to these guidelines
These rules will change as the service and its problems change. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version, and continuing to use Unimegle after an update means the current version applies to you.
